Last December 26 until 28 (though the original plan was until 29, Daddy asked to cut it short -__-) of 2012, my family and I went to Cebu and Bohol for a vacation. Finally! haha because this is our third (and final) attempt to go there. The first was supposedly last 2011 but I suddenly got sick during the day of departure (I know, I’m sorry). Second attempt was, I think, when our family suddenly had a retreat to attend to. So now I can finally say, I’ve been to Cebu and Bohol to take a picture with Lapu-Lapu and tarsiers.
Though the tarsiers are still sleeping because they’re nocturnal, I caught one tarsier who was sleeping in late and took a picture of it with its eyes wide open.
I won’t detail our trip because that may consume a lot of space haha so I’ll just pick the highlights or my favorites
We went to Magellan’s Cross since it is a historical place there. It’s like the mark of the spreading Christianity throughout the Philippines.
We even bought five candles (one for each of course) with different colors; each color representing what we want to pray for. Ate Kat chose green for success; Daddy chose yellow for good health; Karen chose (or maybe she had no choice at all) blue for Mama Mary; Mommy chose red for love; I chose pink for happiness. I don’t think I need to say why I wanted to be more happy than I already am.
We did not really roam Cebu since we did not have much time but I really liked Bohol. I bought a shirt with tarsier and hearts all over it because I SINCERELY love Bohol.
I even had a picture with the biggest python (I think) in the Philippines, and it just needs a bit more to beat the current record on Guinness World Records. I was scared at first, especially when they said its meal is a 60kg pig, thinking I might be mistaken as one haha. Eventually, “napasubo” ako since no one in the family wants to take a picture with it.
We stayed in Crowne Regency Plaza along Jones Avenue and its Skywalk Adventure was really thrilling! I had the greatest scare of my life. Ate Kat and Karen did not join us because they were scared. I was, too! But I did not want an opportunity like this to simply pass.
I swear after the picture was taken, that sweet smile of mine was replaced with an :O seriously. I just really wanted to stand already. You could even see my whole legs hanging out! I could have died either from falling or so much nervousness.
I don’t think I have any more to share (or if I still have any space to use) so I’ll be leaving you all with my mom turning into a fairy. Peace out, yo!
